Who will check the accuracy of submitted data and reports?

During the transitional period, the Commission will conduct an initial screening of CBAM reports as outlined in Articles 11 of the Implementing Regulation. If any reports are deemed incomplete or suspicious, the Commission will communicate this information to the competent national authority. Subsequently, it’s within the authority’s jurisdiction to decide whether to initiate a review and potentially a correction procedure, which could result in penalties for non-compliance.

Dubrink’s CBAM compliance software streamlines data submission, helping ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
